About The Position

Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware is seeking a pediatric radiologist to lead their fetal MRI program, supporting the growth of the Nemours Institute for Maternal Fetal Medicine. The Institute, established in 2026, aims to transform prenatal diagnosis into positive outcomes for families through family-centered care, advanced diagnostics, and fetal interventions. The fetal imaging radiologist will collaborate with the Institute’s Executive Director and MFM colleagues, participating in interdisciplinary patient care and case conferences. Within the radiology department, this role involves leading a team of 5 fetal MRI readers, optimizing fetal MRI protocols on 1.5 and 3T Siemens scanners, and initiating academic projects in fetal MRI. Approximately half of the time will be dedicated to clinical and academic fetal imaging work, with the remaining time spent on clinical diagnostic radiology. The ideal candidate will be an experienced fetal body and/or neuroradiologist seeking leadership in program development. Nemours Radiology is a large pediatric radiology group with over 50 radiologists across multiple states, performing over 47,298 imaging examinations annually. The department utilizes a unified PACS, shared worklists, multi-site conferences, and shares after-hours responsibilities with a dedicated overnight team. Faculty are licensed and credentialed across the system and partner institutions.

Credentialed throughout the system and partner institutions

Responsibilities

Lead the fetal MRI program.
Support the growth of the Nemours Institute for Maternal Fetal Medicine.
Work closely with the Institute’s Executive Director and MFM colleagues.
Participate in interdisciplinary patient care and weekly case conferences.
Lead a group of 5 fetal MRI readers.
Refine fetal MRI protocols on 1.5 and 3T Siemens scanners.
Establish academic endeavors in fetal MRI.
Dedicate approximately ½ of their time to clinical and academic work in fetal imaging.
Spend the remaining time in clinical diagnostic radiology.
