The Division of Pediatric Psychology and Neuropsychology is recruiting a full-time Pediatric Psychologist to provide evidence-based consultation-liaison, assessment, and intervention services to pediatric patients and their families treated in the Levine Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, with an emphasis on sickle cell disease and blood and marrow transplant (BMT). Our comprehensive hematology/oncology and BMT programs serve a diverse and medically complex population of children and adolescents undergoing treatment for cancer and serious blood disorders. As the region’s only children’s hospital consistently recognized by U.S. News & World Report, Levine Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders offers advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services, including outpatient and home-based chemotherapy, a rapidly expanding pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant and stem cell transplant program, and a comprehensive sickle cell disease program. Our center also delivers cutting-edge therapies through developmental therapeutics and targeted radiation treatments, including MIBG therapy, one of few in the region. Care is delivered by a highly integrated interdisciplinary team across inpatient and outpatient settings, supporting patients and families from diagnosis through treatment, transplant, recovery, and survivorship. Active participation in investigator-initiated and multi-center clinical research is supported by robust clinical and research infrastructure, advancing innovation in pediatric hematology, oncology, cellular therapy, and sickle cell care. Psychologists at Levine Children’s also participate in the training of psychology practicum students and other trainees. Clinical research, quality improvement projects, and new program development are encouraged. This position is eligible for a faculty appointment through the Wake Forest University School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics, with rank commensurate with qualifications and experience.
