About The Position

MedCare Pediatric is hiring Licensed Vocational Nurses to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care to pediatric patients in their homes. Nurses support children with serious illnesses, medical complexities, disabilities, or those recovering from injuries or extensive surgery, helping them remain safely with their families rather than in an inpatient facility. The role includes assessing patients, administering prescribed medications and treatments, collaborating with the care team, and completing clinical documentation. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with flexible 8–12-hour shifts across the Greater Houston area and surrounding communities.

Requirements

• Current Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and current auto liability insurance.
• At least 6 months of pediatric home health experience as an LVN.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled one-on-one nursing care to pediatric patients in their homes during 8–12-hour shifts.
• Assess patient conditions during each visit, including monitoring vital signs and seizure activity, and providing care for G-tubes, tracheostomies, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilators.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and according to the individualized plan of care.
• Collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary care team to support quality patient outcomes.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
