About The Position

We are seeking a Pediatric Private Duty Nurse (LVN/RN) for a 6-year-old male patient with cerebral palsy who ambulates with assistance and attends school in SWISD. The patient requires care for a G-tube and has specific needs related to G-tube and respiratory care. This role involves providing direct, hands-on nursing care, assessing the patient's condition, administering medications and treatments, and performing vital signs and ongoing nursing assessments. The nurse will also be responsible for G-tube and respiratory management, including tracheostomy and ventilator care for high-acuity cases. Communication with the nursing supervisor and physician, as well as educating and supporting family members, are key aspects of this position. Accurate and timely documentation in Kantime is required.

Requirements

• Active, unencumbered Texas RN or LVN license
• Current CPR certification
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to perform required physical tasks, including lifting, standing, and transfers

Nice To Haves

• Pediatric or high-acuity experience preferred but not required
• Willingness to complete required in-office and on-site training

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on nursing care to the assigned patient
• Assess the patient’s condition and document observations
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and therapies
• Monitor and manage G-tube and respiratory needs
• Provide tracheostomy and ventilator care when assigned to a high-acuity case
