Pediatric Physical Therapy Assistant | Bastrop, Texas | PRN (10-12 visits/week)
About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team in Bastrop, Texas. This PRN position involves performing comprehensive Physical Therapy treatments under the guidance of a Supervising Physical Therapist, developing home exercise programs with caregivers, and collaborating with other healthcare providers. The role requires meeting a minimum number of patient visits weekly and ensuring timely completion of all necessary paperwork and documentation. You will also meet with agency personnel to understand expectations and standards for high-quality patient care, and perform all duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures, adhering to all applicable laws and regulations for home-health pediatric physical therapy.
Requirements
- A current/active license to practice Physical Therapy in the state of Texas.
- An innovative spirit complemented by a demonstrated history of reliability.
- Flexibility to shift resources and priorities as necessary, based on the needs of the business.
- Ability to use common workplace technology (laptop computer, phone, email, web browser).

- 3+ years as a pediatric Physical Therapy Assistant
- Experience in a home-health setting.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive Physical Therapy treatments under Supervising Physical Therapist goals and treatment plans.
- Develop home exercise programs in partnership with patients’ caregivers.
- Act as a vital member of your patients’ medical neighborhoods, collaborating and coordinating care between various providers and disciplines.
- Complete a minimum number of patient visits on a weekly basis as required by the agency.
- Meet deadlines for completion of patient chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and all other paperwork as needed.
- Meet with agency personnel as necessary to maintain understanding of expectations and standards related to delivering high-quality patient care.
- Perform all duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all rules, regulations, codes of ethics, guidelines and federal, state and local laws applicable to home-health pediatric physical therapy.
