About The Position

We are seeking a Pediatric Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team in New Braunfels, Texas. This PRN position involves performing comprehensive Physical Therapy treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, developing home exercise programs, and collaborating with patients' caregivers and medical providers. The role requires meeting a minimum number of patient visits weekly, completing all necessary paperwork accurately and on time, and adhering to agency policies and all applicable laws and regulations for home-health pediatric physical therapy.

Requirements

• A current/active license to practice Physical Therapy in the state of Texas.
• An innovative spirit complemented by a demonstrated history of reliability.
• Flexibility to shift resources and priorities as necessary, based on the needs of the business.
• Ability to use common workplace technology (laptop computer, phone, email, web browser).

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years as a pediatric Physical Therapy Assistant
• Experience in a home-health setting.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Physical Therapy treatments under Supervising Physical Therapist goals and treatment plans.
• Develop home exercise programs in partnership with patients’ caregivers.
• Act as a vital member of your patients’ medical neighborhoods, collaborating and coordinating care between various providers and disciplines.
• Complete a minimum number of patient visits on a weekly basis as required by the agency.
• Meet deadlines for completion of patient chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and all other paperwork as needed.
• Meet with agency personnel as necessary to maintain understanding of expectations and standards related to delivering high-quality patient care.
• Perform all duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
• Adhere to all rules, regulations, codes of ethics, guidelines and federal, state and local laws applicable to home-health pediatric physical therapy.
