About The Position

Blue Bird Day is seeking a clinic-based Pediatric Physical Therapist (PT) to join their multidisciplinary team in Chicago, IL. This role involves providing evidence-based, play-focused pediatric therapy to children aged 2-7 years old with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodiverse needs. The therapist will foster mobility, gross motor development, and functional independence through individualized and group therapy, implementing approaches like DIR/Floortime, Developmental Treatment, Motor Skills Acquisition, and Intentional Relationship Model (IRM). Collaboration with occupational and speech therapists, social workers, and communication with families are key aspects of the role.

Requirements

• Pediatric Physical Therapist (PT) license
• Experience with children aged 2-7 years old
• Experience with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodiverse needs
• Knowledge of DIR/Floortime, Developmental Treatment, Motor Skills Acquisition, and Intentional Relationship Model (IRM)

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy to children ages 2-7 years old with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodiverse needs.
• Foster each child's mobility, gross motor development, and functional independence growth.
• Provide individualized and group therapy.
• Implement therapeutic approaches such as DIR/Floortime, Developmental Treatment, Motor Skills Acquisition, and Intentional Relationship Model (IRM).
• Collaborate daily with occupational and speech therapists, as well as social workers.
• Document progress and communicate with families to support continuity of care.
