About The Position

At HPRC in Columbus, GA, this role involves working in a fully integrated environment affiliated with Easter Seals, where therapy is embedded into a child’s daily life. The therapist will collaborate with Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists, as well as teachers and caregivers, to support children with developmental delays and special needs. The position also includes treating outpatient pediatric patients from the local community. This is a significant opportunity to practice in one of the largest pediatric therapy settings in the region, allowing for meaningful relationships and real-time impact. Requirements

  • Licensed Physical Therapist (or ability to obtain licensure in the state of practice)
  • Passion for evidence-based, patient centered care

Responsibilities

  • Provide pediatric physical therapy services within a daycare setting, allowing children to receive care during their normal daily routines for more natural, real-world progress.
  • Partner with a multidisciplinary team (OT, SLP, teachers, and caregivers) to deliver comprehensive, coordinated care.
  • Review each child’s medical history, developmental milestones, and family concerns to guide evidence-based, individualized care.
  • Evaluate movement, strength, coordination, balance, and functional skills through play-based and standardized assessments in the child’s everyday environment.
  • Create individualized, family-centered treatment plans that support development and participation in daily daycare activities and routines.
  • Monitor progress closely and adjust the plan of care to meet each child’s evolving needs.
  • Partner with families and caregivers by providing education, home exercise programs, and strategies to support progress outside of therapy sessions.
