About The Position

Eyas Landing - Avondale offers a unique opportunity to provide therapy through our Merlin Day Academy, a fully integrated educational and therapeutic environment for children ages 6-14 years old with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodiverse needs. As a Physical Therapist (PT) Department Lead / Supervisor at Eyas Landing - Avondale, you will provide physical therapy to children and families while overseeing a team of Physical Therapists. You'll foster each child's mobility, gross motor development, and functional independence growth.

Requirements

Masters or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
Active Illinois Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) license through IDFPR
Experience providing behavior therapy services to children with autism and/or other neurodevelopmental differences

Responsibilities

Providing individualized therapy and therapeutic rotations.
Implementing therapeutic approaches such as DIR/Floortime, Developmental Treatment, Motor Skills Acquisition, and Intentional Relationship Model (IRM).
Collaborating daily with occupational and speech therapists, as well as social workers.
Documenting progress and communicating with families to support continuity of care.
Providing mentorship, clinical guidance, and performance feedback to Physical Therapists to ensure consistency in care delivery and growth.
