About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will provide customer service, perform skilled specimen collections, and represent the company to patients. You will also have opportunities for continued growth within the organization.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience.
At least 1 year of pediatric phlebotomy experience.
Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
Reliable transportation and a clean driving record, if applicable.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice To Haves

Phlebotomy certification, completion of a phlebotomy training program, or at least 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist.
When work experience is substituted, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must be from an accredited agency.

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
Process billing information and collect payments when required.
Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
Provide superior customer service to patients.
Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
Travel to additional sites when needed.
