About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in Austin, TX. The role involves skilled specimen collection and providing exceptional customer service to patients. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The position may require travel to additional sites when needed and overtime as needed. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience.
At least 1 year of pediatric phlebotomy experience.
Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
Reliable transportation and a clean driving record, if applicable.
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice To Haves

Phlebotomy certification, completion of a phlebotomy training program, or at least 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist.
When work experience is substituted, phlebotomy certification or a completed training program must be from an accredited agency.

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
Process billing information and collect payments when required.
Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
Provide superior customer service to patients.
Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
Travel to additional sites when needed.
