Pediatric Outpatient Speech Pathologist
About The Position
The Speech Pathologist position at MultiCare offers an exciting opportunity to provide clinical services and engage in communication with patients, families, and other professionals/service providers in the medical community. This role allows you to apply your extensive knowledge and expertise in speech pathology with all of your patients. You will be part of an amazing team and have the chance to work within a larger interdisciplinary program across 7 Mary Bridge outpatient therapy clinics, benefiting from supports unique to a pediatric hospital network. This position is integrated with a large hospital and outpatient pediatric specialty programs for enhanced service provision.
Requirements
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Hearing-Language Association OR be in the process of completing a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) with supervision by a CCC-SLP in accordance with standards defined by the ASHA.
- Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the State of Washington or holding an interim permit.
- Current BLS Certification required.
Nice To Haves
- Pediatric experience is preferred but NEW GRAD are welcome!
- Previous Experience as a Speech Language Pathologist preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide assessment, interpretation, and reporting of clinical observations.
- Perform patient assessments with a physician and develop treatment plans.
- Perform and interpret results of Videofluoroscopic swallow studies and fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing.
- Confer with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
