Shriners Children's Shreveport is seeking an experienced full-time pediatric orthopedic surgeon to join a general pediatric orthopedic practice. The practice has strong clinical volumes and a cohesive team culture. The ideal candidate will have broad pediatric orthopedic expertise, with preferred strengths in neuromuscular care, hip preservation, and complex foot and ankle deformity. The practice manages a variety of conditions including CP-related deformities, muscle lengthening, flatfoot reconstruction, benign bone tumors, fractures (cold trauma), and congenital and acquired deformities. The incoming surgeon will benefit from a robust referral base, steady clinic and surgical volume, two dedicated OR block days per week, 30-35 clinic patients per day with add-ons, 1:1 APP support (with APPs independently running fracture/injury clinic), and a 1-in-3 home call rotation with no trauma call and minimal call burden. There are opportunities to teach LSU orthopedic residents (no clinical fellows) and potential for an academic appointment through LSU. The position is ideal for a surgeon who values mission-driven work, a collegial environment, and the ability to contribute to program growth while maintaining a balanced clinical practice. Compensation is determined by a combination of years of post-fellowship clinical experience and departmental equity.
