As an RN in the Hematology Clinic, you will serve as the primary care coordinator of interdisciplinary patient care activities. You will oversee the management of patients who have been born with or later diagnosed with a range of non-oncology blood disorders, ensuring comprehensive care throughout their continuum at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Responsible and accountable for high-quality patient care through implementation of the nursing process, including assessment of patient needs (physical, psychosocial, educational), design of a collaborative plan of care, implementation of the plan with appropriate delegation of tasks, coordination of team effort, and evaluation of patient progress towards outcomes. Acts as a patient/family advocate, she/he seeks opportunities to communicate and coordinate patient care activities throughout the continuum in collaboration with other members of the Health Care Team.
