Pediatric Occupational Therapist with flexible scheduling
About The Position
Peninsula Pediatric Therapy, P.C. is a Carmel-based practice seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide pediatric services in Hollister. This is a part-time role with flexible scheduling, working with children (birth–21) with developmental, sensory, neuromuscular, and orthopedic needs. Our mission is to provide compassionate, individualized, science-driven, attentive therapy services to children and their families. We do this by meeting people where they are, completing detailed evaluations to understand the underlying contributors inhibiting the family’s and child’s desired outcomes, and providing treatment approaches tailored to the needs, goals, learning styles, and interests of the client unit.
Requirements
- Active California Occupational Therapist license (in good standing)
- Pediatric experience or strong interest in pediatrics
- Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills
- Reliable transportation between work sites
- Ability to assist with lifting children and equipment
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat pediatric patients using occupational therapy techniques
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Address fine motor skills, sensory processing, sensory processing, self-care, and daily living activities
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team
- Educate families and caregivers on home programs and strategies
- Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications
- Maintain accurate documentation and monitor patient progress
