About The Position

Blue Bird Day is seeking a dedicated and compassionate clinic-based Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) to join their multidisciplinary team in Chicago, IL. This role involves providing evidence-based, play-focused pediatric therapy in a collaborative, innovative environment. The Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) will provide occupational therapy to children ages 2-7 years old with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodiverse needs. Responsibilities include fostering each child's sensory processing and integration, motor coordination, fine motor development, and independence through individualized and group therapy, implementing client-centered therapeutic approaches, collaborating with other therapists and social workers, and documenting progress and communicating with families.

Requirements

  • Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) license
  • Experience working with children ages 2-7 years old
  • Experience with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodiverse needs
  • Knowledge of DIR/Floortime, Intentional Relationship Model (IRM), and reflex integration
  • Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong documentation and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy to children ages 2-7 years old with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodiverse needs.
  • Foster each child's sensory processing and integration, motor coordination, fine motor development, and independence.
  • Provide individualized and group therapy.
  • Implement client-centered therapeutic approaches such as DIR/Floortime, Intentional Relationship Model (IRM), and reflex integration.
  • Collaborate daily with physical and speech therapists, and social workers.
  • Document progress and communicate with families to support continuity of care.
