About The Position

Chatterbox Pediatric Therapy is seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to help children participate more fully in everyday life through play, connection, collaboration, and evidence-informed care. The clinic offers a multidisciplinary team approach, providing individualized, play-based, neuro-affirming care that supports the whole child and family. They welcome both experienced pediatric OTs and new graduates, emphasizing mentorship, curiosity, humility, and kindness. Requirements

  • Licensed or eligible for Georgia licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Passion for working with children from birth through young adulthood

Responsibilities

  • Help children participate more fully in everyday life through play, connection, collaboration, and evidence-informed care.
  • Provide individualized, play-based, neuro-affirming care.
  • Support the whole child and the whole family.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of Occupational, Speech, Physical, and Music Therapists.
  • Engage in child-led, play-based, neuro-affirming, evidence-informed care.
  • Participate in mentorship and professional growth opportunities.
  • Provide outpatient pediatric therapy in a collaborative clinic.
  • Offer Early Intervention services through Georgia's Babies Can't Wait program.
  • Provide therapy in children's natural environments.
  • Conduct telehealth services, when appropriate.
  • Support children in areas such as sensory integration, emotional regulation, feeding, executive functioning, fine motor development, and self-care skills.
  • Support infants and toddlers through Early Intervention.
  • Help children participate more fully in playing, learning, dressing, feeding, regulating, building relationships, communicating, and becoming more independent.
  • Utilize a large sensory gym and a variety of therapeutic equipment.
  • Apply clinical expertise and creativity to every session.
  • Ask thoughtful questions.
  • See possibility where others see challenges.
  • Partner with families.
  • Celebrate progress that isn't always measured on a standardized assessment.
  • Focus on meaningful participation, not perfection.
  • Communicate openly and respectfully with families and teammates.
  • Engage in planning, documentation, caregiver coaching, clinical reasoning, and team collaboration.
  • Provide direct treatment time.
  • Provide administrative time, including documentation, treatment planning, caregiver education, collaboration, and other clinical responsibilities.
