About The Position

The Occupational Therapist evaluate, plan, and provides therapy for the disabled patient. This role also establishes and maintains a safe environment conducive to effective team functioning, positive patient outcomes and personal safety. The Occupational Therapist must have the ability to evaluate and treat pediatric developmental needs including fine motor delay, sensory disorders, handwriting, and object manipulation. Must also be comfortable with complex medical diagnosis, sensory processing disorder, emotional regulation issues, and autism. This position is located our Stones Crossing clinic.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited OT program.
  • Valid Indiana Occupational Therapist license or temporary permit.
  • Knowledgeable in anatomy/physiology, evaluation and therapy, theoretical concepts and techniques, current materials and technological advances, and new professional trends.

  • Previous experience in an outpatient setting working with pediatric patients.

  • Provide quality service to impaired individuals.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, peers, patients, families, physicians, and all internal/external customers.
  • Incorporate a basic understanding of the behaviors, developmental needs, physical needs, emotional needs, and comfort of the child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient.
