About The Position

Transform Lives as a Home Health Occupational Therapist at MedCare Pediatric. We are seeking passionate Occupational Therapists to join our team. New graduates are welcome to apply. We offer flexible schedule options, including Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN openings. New hires will ramp up gradually with a capped caseload to support quality care. We provide support from a team of dedicated clinical supervisors and administrative staff. Openings are available in the Greater Houston and all surrounding areas.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school program of Occupational Therapy (OT)
Licensed to practice as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in Texas by anticipated start date

Responsibilities

Performs in depth patient evaluation and develops treatment plans and goals as indicated for patients based on their current level of functioning and potential for improvement.
Evaluates patients’ needs and administers therapy to preserve and improve abilities for independent function, such as range of motion, strength, tolerance, coordination, vision, behavioral management skills, social skills, academics, and activities of daily living.
Implements treatment plan, provides state of the art Occupational Therapy services in accordance with the Plan of Treatment (POT) approved by the physician.
Educate and train families about various OT techniques and strategies.
Collaborate with the MedCare team to ensure quality care.
