About The Position

As an outpatient pediatric clinician, you will have the chance to work with many children from birth to age twenty-one. Our teammates are dedicated to the treatment of our young patients, providing individualized one-to-one attention and customized plans of care to meet your child’s needs. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to attend sessions so they can carry skills and home exercises into their child's daily life. As a Pediatric Occupational Therapy Fellow at Ivy Rehab for Kids, you will be a full-time teammate as you complete the Ivy Rehab Pediatric Fellowship Program. You have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of pediatric patients. Our treatment approach emphasizes personalized care that allows for flexibility in creating individualized plans of care.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapist Master’s Program
  • Active OT licensure in current state of practice, prior to Fellowship start date
  • Employed as a Full-time Therapist for at least 3 months by Ivy Rehab Network, prior to the program start date.
  • Required membership in associated professional organization by the start of the residency
  • Commitment to successfully completing all program requirements including independent study
  • Commitment to taking the AOTA Board Certification in Pediatrics (BCP) exam at earliest eligibility
  • Commitment to a minimum of two years of continued employment at Ivy Rehab, post-graduation from program

Responsibilities

  • Complete all required didactic modules (300+ hours)
  • Complete all assessments, logs and forms
  • Complete Live Patient Examinations
  • Satisfactory completion of all skills lists
  • Passing of all required quizzes
  • Satisfactory completion of required presentations
  • Optional completion of case report abstract
  • Completion of 100 hours of 1:1 Mentorship
  • Complete a minimum of 1,500 patient care hours during fellowship year
  • Attendance and participation in all scheduled fellowship education events
  • Satisfactory achievement of all fellowship core competencies
