The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner role is a full-time, on-site position located in North Atlanta, GA. This role includes providing comprehensive pediatric primary care, including wellness visits, immunizations, developmental screenings, and acute and chronic illness management for infants, children, and adolescents. Day-to-day responsibilities involve conducting patient assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing and adjusting treatment plans, prescribing medications in accordance with applicable regulations, and documenting care in the electronic health record. The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other clinical team members, communicate with families about care plans and preventive health, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. The role also includes patient education, coordination of care with community resources and specialists, and adherence to clinical guidelines and organizational policies.

Requirements

  • Strong Nurse Practitioner skills, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient education.
  • Expertise in Pediatric Nursing, including wellness care, growth and development, immunizations, and management of common pediatric conditions.
  • Solid foundation in Medicine and Primary Care, including evidence-based practice, preventive care, and chronic disease management.
  • Core Nursing competencies, including compassionate patient care, clinical documentation, infection control, and safety practices.
  • Master’s degree in Nursing.
  • Current licensure as a Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioner in the state of Georgia (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

  • National board certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Prior experience in outpatient pediatrics or family practice, especially in community-based settings.
  • Strong communication, cultural competence, teamwork, and time-management skills, with a commitment to patient-centered, non-discriminatory care.
