About The Position

BrightStar Care is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide specialized, one-on-one in-home care to a 13-year-old boy with complex medical needs in Orem, Utah. The client is nonverbal, has limited mobility, is bedbound, and is ventilator-dependent without a tracheostomy. The nurse will provide individualized care according to the client’s Plan of Care, supporting his safety, comfort, daily needs, and overall well-being. The role calls for a skilled, patient, attentive, and compassionate pediatric nurse comfortable with respiratory support and specialized care. Creative play and singing are appreciated.

Available shifts are Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Requirements

• At least 1 year of pediatric nursing experience.
• Experience with ventilator management, BiPAP, and respiratory care.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in Utah.
• Current CPR and ACLS certifications, as required for the position.
• Negative TB skin test or chest X-ray.
• Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
• Valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, push, and pull.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care based on the client’s Plan of Care.
• Provide enteral feedings.
• Manage ventilator and BiPAP support.
• Perform suctioning and nebulizer treatments.
• Administer medications and prescribed treatments.
• Perform passive range of motion (PROM) exercises.
• Assist with mobility and repositioning.
• Support the client’s daily care, comfort, and overall well-being.
