About The Position

Pediatric Neurologist Children with seizures, developmental regression, headache, and neuromuscular disease need a physician who can turn uncertainty into a clear plan. In this role you will own diagnosis, treatment, and follow-through for complex pediatric brain and nerve conditions, and you will be the clinician families trust when the next decision matters. Success is measured in faster answers, safer care, and children who stay in school, therapy, and daily life.

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. with board certification or eligibility in neurology with special qualification in child neurology.
  • Active or obtainable state medical license and DEA registration, and eligibility for hospital privileges.
  • Demonstrated competence in pediatric neurologic examination, epilepsy management, and EEG interpretation sufficient for independent practice.
  • Experience building care plans with families and with referring pediatricians, including clear written communication.
  • Ability to manage both scheduled clinics and urgent neurologic questions without losing follow-up on pending results.
  • Commitment to evidence-based prescribing and to recognizing when a child needs genetics, neurosurgery, or intensive care.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage a full pediatric neurology panel—epilepsy, headache, neuromuscular disease, movement disorders, neurodevelopmental concerns, and acute neurologic presentations—with timely, evidence-based plans.
  • Shorten time from referral to a working diagnosis by completing targeted histories, exams, and test strategies, and by closing the loop on results with families and referring clinicians.
  • Interpret and act on EEG and related neurodiagnostic findings, adjusting therapy to reduce seizures, adverse effects, and avoidable emergency visits.
  • Lead multidisciplinary plans with pediatrics, genetics, rehabilitation, neurosurgery, and behavioral health so each child has one coherent course of care.
  • Counsel caregivers in plain language on prognosis, medications, rescue plans, and school or therapy needs, and document decisions that other clinicians can execute.
  • Improve service quality by reviewing outcomes, near misses, and protocol gaps, and by standardizing pathways for common high-risk conditions.
  • Contribute to coverage, teaching, and peer consultation so the service remains safe when you are not the physician in the room.
