About The Position

Nemours Children’s Hospital, Florida is seeking a Full-Time Pediatric Neurologist to join their rapidly growing team in Orlando. The hospital has a well-established neurosciences center with a rapidly expanding program, including 6 neurologists, 3 neurosurgeons, and 6 APPs with strong ancillary support. The program features a robust neuromuscular and epilepsy program with a 6-bed EMU and an active epilepsy surgery program. They offer gene therapies for FDA-approved neurological conditions and have an active international medicine program. Future plans include developing clinical excellence programs in headache, developmental neurology, and movement disorders, alongside expanding clinical research and trials. Candidates will have the opportunity to build and lead these programs. Academic appointment through the University of Central Florida College of Medicine is encouraged.

Requirements

Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
Board certified or board eligible in area of specialty
Valid state medical license

Responsibilities

Participate in equal number of inpatient service week and night calls.
Provide coverage for the pediatric inpatient floor, PICU, NICU, and pediatric emergency department as the on-call neurologist for the consult service.
Participate in medical student admission, education, and training as a faculty member of UCFCOM.
Be involved in research, quality improvement studies, and academic activities with medical students.
