This is a full-time Registered Nurse position in Pediatric Nephrology Ambulatory & Outpatient at Carolinas Medical Center. The role involves engaging in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices. The nurse will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families throughout the continuum of care. Key responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, mobilizing resources, collaborating with the care team, and upholding a culture of safety. The position requires administering medications and treatments, demonstrating effective communication, and pursuing professional development. Ethical decision-making, respect for interdisciplinary roles, and integrated patient care are essential. The nurse will also be responsible for appropriate delegation and maintaining accurate EHR documentation. This role may require floating to other units or facilities within the service area. The nurse must demonstrate knowledge of age-specific care for pediatric patients, including growth and development principles.
