Requirements

  • Clinical Counselor obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Counselor credentialed from the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Social Worker credentialed from the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Social Worker specializing in Clinical Practice obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work required.
  • LMSW required upon hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Case Manager credentialed from the Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC).
  • Case Manager credentialed from the American Case Management Association (ACMA).
  • 3 years of experience preferred.
  • Crisis Counseling preferred.
  • Group Therapy Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide behavioral health counseling services, delivering individual, group, and family therapy to support improved mental health outcomes.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and establish measurable therapy treatment goals aligned with evidence-based behavioral health practices.
  • Evaluate therapy progress and adjust treatment plans to ensure effective interventions and sustained patient improvement.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and community providers to coordinate care from treatment initiation through discharge planning.
  • Serve as clinical resource for trauma and personality disorders, providing consultation, staff education, and community outreach on mental health services.
