We are currently seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Sleepy Hollow office team. In this role you will: Review patient records for past medical problems, medication and immunization status, drug allergies, risk factors, and other pertinent information. Interview patients and/or family members for appropriate information and obtain vital statistics indicated for the age, gender, and type of visit. Perform laboratory testing and administer vaccines, analgesics, and nebulization treatments in accordance with established standards and office policy. Observe, document, and report to provider and nursing staff patient’s condition and reaction to drugs and treatments. Complete applicable documentation for the patient visit. Conduct basic parent and child education to include anticipatory guidance in accordance with office policy and as delegated by providers and leadership. Role model excellent clinical skills with patients. Communicate effectively and courteously while demonstrating a caring attitude toward patients and family. Follow universal precautions, OSHA standards, and HIPAA regulations to include maintaining patient confidentiality. Perform additional responsibilities to support the needs of the practice and patient families. Other duties as assigned.
