About The Position

Wisestaff is urgently seeking qualified Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN/LPNs) for full-time positions in the Inpatient Pediatric Unit at SAMMC/BAMC in San Antonio, TX. SAMMC/BAMC is a Level I Trauma Center and the largest inpatient military hospital. This teaching hospital provides invaluable experience in graduate medical education, specialty care, and critically important trauma skills. LVNs work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians to provide bedside nursing care to patients. Responsibilities include monitoring and observing patients, assisting with treatments and medications, documenting care, and communicating with patients and their families regarding care and treatment.

Requirements

• At least one (1) year of inpatient pediatric experience as an LVN/LPN within the last three (3) years
• Qualifying experience must be clearly shown on your resume
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Valid LVN/LPN license from any U.S. jurisdiction
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Must be able to pass a background check for government clearance

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside nursing care to patients.
• Monitor and observe patients.
• Assist with treatments and medications.
• Document care.
• Communicate with patients and their families regarding care and treatment.
