About The Position
Provide meaningful, life-changing 1:1 pediatric nursing care for a medically complex 2-year-old patient who relies on skilled nursing support. Affirmed Home Care is seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide care for a pediatric patient in East Rutherford, NJ requiring tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and G-tube feedings. Requirements
- Active New Jersey LPN License
- Current BLS Certification
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Physical exam within 12 months
- PPD or QuantiFERON within 1 year (or chest X-ray within 5 years)
- Proof of flu vaccine or approved exemption
Nice To Haves
- Experience with trach, ventilator, and G-tube care preferred
- Valid driver's license preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 pediatric nursing care focused on safety, comfort, and clinical stability
- Manage and monitor tracheostomy and ventilator support
- Perform trach care, suctioning, and airway management as ordered
- Administer and monitor G-tube feedings
- Assess respiratory status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Collaborate with the family and pediatric clinical team to ensure continuity of care
