About The Position

This full-time premium rate position is a 36 weekly hour shift opportunity with benefits! Rotating shifts with every 3rd weekend and holiday requirement. Amazing opportunity for dual campus support with the Philadelphia and King of Prussia campuses. Support our stellar critical care units including NICU, PICU and Cardiac ICU. This requires minimum of 2 years inpatient pediatric ICU experience. The SWAT nurse is a highly skilled, highly trained experienced nurse who provides support to various Nursing Units, including but not limited to ICU, Medical, Surgical, and at least 1 specialty area as defined in Supplemental Staffing Nursing Policy. The SWAT nurse is able to function independently to provide safe, quality and clinically competent care. The SWAT nurse is able to plan, implement, evaluate and document care that is in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.

Requirements

Technical Diploma Nursing Required
At least two (2) years Pediatric Nursing experience Required
Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) - Pennsylvania State Licensing Board - upon hire - Required or Nursing Temporary Practice Permit (Pennsylvania) - Pennsylvania State Licensing Board - upon hire - Required or Registered Nurse (New Jersey) - New Jersey State Licensing Board - upon hire - Required or Nursing Temporary Practice Permit (New Jersey) - New Jersey State Licensing Board - upon hire - Required
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - issued through on organization that requires a hands-on instructor lead psychomotor skills verification (ex. American Heart Association or Red Cross). - upon hire - Required
Minimum of 2 years inpatient pediatric ICU experience.
Computer Competency

Responsibilities

Follows Nursing Process to deliver safe care: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Synthesizes patient assessment data and recognizes complex situations prior to communicating with care team.
Collaborates with family, team members, and other caregivers to initiate/update plan of care, patient/family education, and discharge needs.
Manages care of complex patients utilizing proper prioritization and delegation to appropriate staff.
