About The Position

Under the general supervision of the unit Director or designee, the Charge Nurse directs and coordinates all unit functions during designated shifts. In collaboration with the management team, the Charge Nurse participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit. The RN staff nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with Las Palmas Medical Center policies and procedures. In collaboration with patients, their families, and other members of the healthcare team, the clinical RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, delegates, and coordinates treatment plans and plans of care.

Requirements

Associate degree.
Registered Nurse (RN) qualification.
At least 1 year of experience.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
No travel required.

Responsibilities

Direct and coordinate unit functions during designated shifts as Charge Nurse.
Collaborate with the management team in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services.
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures.
Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, delegate, and coordinate treatment plans and plans of care.
