Physicians are expected to apply for and obtain academic rank at Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University and participate in teaching, mentorship, academic scholarship, education, clinical research, advocacy, and quality improvement. The Section of Hospital Medicine is a collegial team of general pediatric hospitalist physicians, medicine-pediatric hospitalist physicians, and general pediatric hospitalist APRNs that provides coverage seven days per week on a rotational basis. The section also supports two Pediatric Hospital Medicine fellows each year.
