About The Position

We are seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist for a Locum Tenens position in Richland, WA. This inpatient role involves providing clinical care and managing call duties. The coverage period is from November 13, 2026, to June 30, 2027. The physician will work 12-hour shifts (7a-7p) with evening call from 7p-7a, utilizing a beeper system with a 30-minute response time. The patient volume is typically 4 patients per day, with 1-2 admissions and 1-3 discharges. Rounding, phone consults, and specific procedures are included. The facility utilizes Epic EMR and has a support staff of 3-4 RNs and 1 CNA. Specialty backup is available from Neonatology, and the facility has a Level 3 NICU with 20 beds. The role also includes supervising teaching services for FP residents on weekends during the high season (February to March).

Active WA or IMLC License
DEA Required
BLS Certification
PALS Certification
Intubation (ENT/INT)
Newborn care
Pediatrics care

Responsibilities

Provide inpatient pediatric hospitalist care during 12-hour shifts
Manage evening call from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Perform newborn assessments, intubation, and ventilation management
Attend deliveries and C-sections as needed
Collaborate with nursing and support staff for patient care
Supervise teaching services to FP residents, weekends only during the high season - Feb to Mar
