About The Position

RNs and LPNs are responsible for providing and documenting skilled nursing care and reporting to Case Managers and/or Clinical Nurse Supervisor. In collaboration with the MGA personnel, the nurse will render skilled nursing care in accordance with the care developed for each individual patient and in accordance with the Physician’s orders. MGA Homecare strives to provide quality homecare that is tailored to individual medical circumstances. Our qualified staff of Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Licensed Health Aide (LHA), Attendant Care, Home Health Aide (HHA), and Occupational Therapist (OT), Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTA), Physical Therapists (PT), Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA), Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) are given the training and resources they need to handle every home healthcare situation with professionalism and care. We emphasize developing unique bonds between the patient and healthcare professional. Our Nurses, Therapists, and Caregivers are highly skilled, responsible, and willing to go the extra mile to establish trust and build meaningful relationships.

Requirements

  • Hold a valid/unencumbered verification/license to practice the job as described in the state where services are provided.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Provide a copy of current TB results or Chest x-ray.
  • Provide a copy of CPR certification as per agency policy.
  • Be flexible, organized and have the ability to exercise independent and sound judgment to perform the job duties/responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provides and documents skilled nursing care.
  • Reports to Case Managers and/or Clinical Nurse Supervisor.
  • Renders skilled nursing care in accordance with the care developed for each individual patient and in accordance with the Physician’s orders.
  • Performs specific treatments and medication administration as per care plan.
  • Functions as a team member demonstrating collaboration with and responsibility to the patient, Physician, and health care team.
  • Identifies issues of concern and demonstrates critical thinking skills.
  • Completes all clinical documentation accurately and submits timely per agency policy/guidelines.
  • Reports on time and as scheduled to complete work within the designated time.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook.
