About The Position

Axcess is a home care provider that services children with special needs and disabilities across the state of South Carolina. We are contracted with Community Long Term Care and the Department of Disabilities and Special Needs to provide care to children who qualify for aide services. We are hiring for multiple children across the state so please be sure to check all our listings. Our goal is to provide compassionate nursing care to children while giving parents piece of mind during your visit. Each child is unique in the activities they need assistance with but may include : ~ medication administration ~catheter care~ tracheostomy care ~wound care~ ventilator care ~assistance with ADLs~ accompanying parents to appointments and therapies As a Home Care RN, you may also be required to assist with light housekeeping and laundry as well . This service is aimed to help the child and the parents/guardians.

Requirements

• Active RN license to practice in SC
• One year of clinical experience
• Annual TB tests (Axcess covers the cost if expired)
• Current CPR certification (Axcess can direct to training sites if expired)
• Pass a background (SLED) check
• Pass a drug test
• Physically able to provide care to a child with special needs
• Valid driver's license and insured transportation

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to children with special needs and disabilities.
• Administer medications.
• Perform catheter care.
• Provide tracheostomy care.
• Perform wound care.
• Provide ventilator care.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Accompany parents to appointments and therapies.
• Assist with light housekeeping and laundry as needed.
