About The Position

The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Psychology & Developmental Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and Children’s Wisconsin (CW), seeks a board certified / board eligible psychologist to join our expanding Division. Our team includes nationally and internationally renowned faculty, alongside our dedicated staff, united by a strong commitment to exceptional clinical care. Health psychologists will work with an interdisciplinary team of colleagues, including physicians, nurses, social workers, care navigators and others to develop, implement and sustain integrated mental and behavioral health programming for patients. While positions are primarily clinical, opportunities for scholarship and teaching are available and encouraged. We are especially interested in psychologists to practice in the following areas: Eating Disorders, Neurosciences, Endocrinology, Sleep Medicine, Urology.

Requirements

  • PhD or PsyD in an APA approved clinical psychology, school psychology, neuropsychology program, or appropriate subspecialty program
  • Licensed, or eligible to be licensed as a Psychologist in the State of Wisconsin
  • Clinical experience assessing and treating children

Nice To Haves

  • Specialized training, including fellowship in child psychology is preferred
  • Specialized training or experience in health and behavior assessment and intervention is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments of pediatric patients
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
  • Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions
  • Collaborating with medical professionals
  • Offering guidance to parents/caregivers
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Conducting research
  • Providing training and supervision to psychology trainees and interns
  • Participate in professional development, scholarly activities, and administrative duties
  • Services provided include health and behavior assessment and intervention
  • All Department faculty are expected to teach psychology learners, residents and medical students as they rotate through our clinics
  • Dedicated supervision opportunities may also be available
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Chair or Chair-Designate
