About The Position

Under the direction of the Emergency Department Director or Vice President, this role is responsible for the organization, implementation, development, and physician alignment necessary to provide world-class patient services. The position establishes and sustains a patient-centered focus to achieve administrative, clinical, and financial goals set by Parkview Health and its partners. Responsibilities include overseeing assigned operational and clinical areas, managing day-to-day process and performance improvement, and ensuring patient safety activities for nursing and ancillary personnel caring for pediatric ER patients. This role partners with the Pediatric Medical Director in overseeing the Peds ER program, which encompasses financial management, development and implementation of clinical protocols and practice management guidelines, staff development through educational opportunities, monitoring performance improvement, patient safety, and pediatric education. The manager also serves as a liaison to administration and represents the pediatric ER program on various committees to enhance care, develop policies, and oversee the program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Valid Registered Nurse License for the State where services will be provided.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Five years progressive clinical experience in the health care field.
  • 2-3 years of demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program preferred.
  • Previous emergency nursing experience preferred.
  • Previous pediatric experience preferred.
