About The Position

Smile Doctors is seeking a Pediatric Dental Hygienist to join their growing team. The role is responsible for delivering a positive clinical experience to all patients while adhering to company policies and state dental laws under the supervision of a Dentist. The goal is to establish a trusting rapport with patients and ensure the Ultimate Patient Experience is delivered.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• State Hygiene License required
• Current CPR Certificate required
• Current Hepatitis B vaccination required
• Ability to administer local anesthetic agents required
• Minimum one (1) year of previous Pediatric Dental experience required

• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Responsibilities

• Screening patients during checkups
• Clean accretions, calcareous deposits, and stains from teeth and gums
• Examine for indications of oral cancer
• Reviewing a patient’s dental and medical history
• Maintain patients’ charts and transcribe the doctor notes accurately
• Recommending care to improve a patient’s oral health
• Performing preventive dental care
• Applying fluoride treatments
• Taking x-rays and reviewing them for signs of dental diseases
• Sterilizing and preparing dental instruments
