About The Position

We are seeking a Pediatric Critical Care Physician for a Locum Tenens position in Flagstaff, AZ. This role involves providing 24-hour on-call coverage for the Pediatric ICU and general pediatric patients, ages 0-18. The coverage period is from October 26, 2026, to November 1, 2026, with an ongoing need for coverage one week per month. The physician will manage approximately 7-15 patients per day, conduct morning rounds, and respond to clinical needs throughout their shifts. Collaboration with onsite Nurse Practitioners and hospital staff is expected, along with completing coding and clinical documentation using the Cerner EMR system.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
• Arizona Medical License Required or IMLC LOQ
• Willing to License
• DEA Required
• BLS and PALS Required
• Minimum 5 years of PICU experience
• Must be comfortable managing pediatric patients ages 0–18 in the PICU and inpatient pediatric setting
• COVID-19 Vaccine: Required; medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed
• Flu Vaccine: Required; medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour Pediatric Critical Care on-call coverage.
• Conduct morning rounds and manage Pediatric ICU patients.
• Evaluate and manage pediatric patients ages 0–18.
• Provide care for approximately 7–15 patients per day.
• Respond to clinical needs throughout the 24-hour coverage period.
• Collaborate with onsite Nurse Practitioners and hospital clinical staff.
• Complete required coding and clinical documentation.
• Document patient care using Cerner.
• Maintain compliance with facility credentialing and clinical requirements.
