Pediatric Clinical Neuropsychologist
About The Position
Advocate Aurora Health is seeking Pediatric Neuropsychologists to join our growing team in Wisconsin. The Neurosciences Program at Advocate Aurora HealthCare is rapidly growing, and neuropsychology is a valued part of this multidisciplinary team that delivers comprehensive and compassionate care to individuals with complex neurological and neurodevelopmental disorders. This position is primarily clinical. Opportunities for research and training of graduate students are available if desired. Advocate Aurora is the largest healthcare system in Wisconsin. Requirements
- Completed a 2-year fellowship in neuropsychology.
- License-eligible in the state of Wisconsin.
- Board certified or eligible for board certification in clinical neuropsychology.
- Psychologist license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
- Doctorate Degree in Psychology.
- Typically requires 2 years of experience in post-doctoral clinical experience and in appropriate supervised training applying neuropsychological services in a clinical setting.
- Successful completion of systematic didactic and experimental training in neuropsychology and neuroscience at a regionally accredited university.
- Eligibility for listing in the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology.
- Skilled as a generalist and has one or more specializations.
- Extensive knowledge and skills in the application of theory, practice and techniques of behavioral health and/or substance abuse treatment services.
- Demonstrated ability to function in a complex mental health delivery system.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with both medical/neurological and developmentally based patient populations is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Neuropsychological evaluations of children and adolescents in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Accurately complete all documentation responsibilities as outlined in department/service area procedures and do so within established timelines.
- Assist in education and training activities designed to enhance clinical staff skills.
- Act as a clinical resource to staff and to the community.
- Participate in education and training activities in hospitals and outpatient clinics as needed.
- Act as a resource and provide consultation to clinical staff in the interpretation of results and its impact on the treatment plan of the patient.
