About The Position

Boston Children’s Health Physicians (BCHP) and Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital (MFCH), in affiliation with Boston Children’s Hospital and the Department of Pediatrics at New York Medical College (NYMC), are seeking a full-time Pediatric Cardiologist to join the Division of Pediatric Cardiology at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital (MFCH) on the Westchester Medical Center (WMC) campus in Valhalla, NY. The Division of Pediatric Cardiology consists of a multidisciplinary team of nine pediatric cardiologists and two congenital heart surgeons who provide comprehensive care for children with congenital and acquired heart disease. This role is for a general pediatric cardiologist suited for a busy outpatient setting, with opportunities to develop additional responsibilities in areas such as fetal cardiology, inpatient cardiology, exercise stress testing, or preventative cardiology. The Heart Center serves the Westchester Medical Center network and the Hudson Valley, offering a comprehensive Surgical Center, a new Center for Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery, and a full range of non-invasive services including echocardiography, fetal echocardiography, and a Fetal Care Center. The center also has capabilities in interventional cardiology, cardiac critical care, cardiac MRI, and CT imaging. Collaboration with adult colleagues is encouraged, and the hospital utilizes state-of-the-art equipment.

Requirements

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Cardiology
  • Excellence in clinical care, teaching, and scholarly activity
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Passion for programmatic growth and innovation
  • Eligible for an academic appointment at New York Medical College, commensurate with experience and scholarly achievements
  • NY State License (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care for children with congenital and acquired heart disease.
  • Support the expanding cardiac program.
  • Contribute to the academic, clinical, and educational missions of the division.
  • Practice in a busy outpatient setting.
  • Develop additional responsibilities based on faculty interest, including fetal cardiology, inpatient cardiology, exercise stress testing, or preventative cardiology.
  • Collaborate with adult colleagues.
