About The Position
Spectrum Healthcare Partners is seeking full-time BC/BE pediatric cardiac anesthesiologists to join our dynamic team of over 50 physicians at Maine Medical Center—a 700-bed, Level 1 Trauma Center and flagship hospital for the State of Maine. This role involves the care of pediatric cardiac surgical, cath, and EP lab patients, as well as general non-cardiac pediatric surgical and NORA cases. The pediatric anesthesia group provides expert anesthesiology care including complex neurosurgical repairs, neonatal surgery, airway reconstructions, cath lab procedures, and general pediatric services. This is a unique opportunity to practice high-acuity, academic medicine in a physician-owned and physician-led private practice, contributing to resident and fellow education, participating in clinical research, and pursuing academic advancement.
Requirements
- BC/BE pediatric cardiac anesthesiologists
- ABA board certification
- Pediatric Anesthesiology Boards required within 4 years of employment
- At least 5 years of pediatric cardiac anesthesia experience, including neonatal cardiac surgery
- Leadership interest for a growing program
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesiology care for pediatric cardiac surgical, cath, and EP lab patients.
- Provide anesthesiology care for general non-cardiac pediatric surgical and NORA cases.
- Provide expert anesthesiology care for complex neurosurgical repairs, neonatal surgery, airway reconstructions, and cath lab procedures.
- Contribute meaningfully to resident and fellow education.
