About The Position
Seeking a Pediatric Anesthesiologist for a Locum Tenens position in Tacoma, WA. This inpatient role involves clinical duties plus 24-hour beeper call with a 30-minute response time and a 1:2 call ratio. The service setting is supplemental coverage for an ongoing need, starting ASAP. The department has 22 beds and is a Level II Trauma center. Support staff includes 3 RNs. The case mix includes Cardiac, Complete Ortho, Head Spine, Neuro, Pediatric, and Thoracic cases. Required procedures include Spinal Anesthesia, Open Heart Anesthesia, and Arterial & Central Line Placement. EMR system is Epic. Temporary privileges are available.
Requirements
- Active WA License or IMLC
- Board Certified (BC)
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
Responsibilities
- Provide pediatric anesthesiology services in an inpatient setting.
- Participate in clinical duties and 24-hour beeper call.
- Respond to calls within 30 minutes.
- Perform required procedures including Spinal Anesthesia, Open Heart Anesthesia, and Arterial & Central Line Placement.
- Manage a patient volume of 1.
- Collaborate with 3 RNs and other support staff.
