About The Position

This is a Locum Tenens Physician role in Pediatric Anesthesiology at a hospital-based operating room in Dayton, OH. The coverage period is from November 1, 2026, to April 30, 2027, with a Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM shift schedule. This position is for supplemental coverage and is clinical only. The facility is a Level I Trauma center with 14 ORs and a daily volume of 50-60 surgical cases. The patient demographics range from neonatal to adult, with a case mix including General Surgical (Neonatal, Pediatric, Adult), Thoracic, Complex Orthopedic, Neurosurgical, and Ventilation Management. Support staff including CRNAs, RNs, surgical techs, PCAs, surgeons, proceduralists, and APPs are available.

Requirements

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Anesthesiology
Active Ohio License
Active DEA certification
BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
Completion of Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship required
Clean background
No malpractice history

Responsibilities

Provide pediatric anesthesia services for general surgical, thoracic, complex orthopedic, and neurosurgical cases.
Supervise CRNAs in a care team model when not practicing solo.
Manage anesthesia for patients ranging from neonatal to adult.
Perform insertion of arterial lines and manage acute volume/BP issues as needed.
Comply with facility credentialing and fingerprinting requirements.
