Inova Fairfax Hospital - Full Time - Pediatric Anesthesiologist
About The Position
The Department of Anesthesiology at Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking a board-certified Pediatric Fellowship Trained Anesthesiologist to join their team. This role involves a mixed practice of pediatric and adult cases, with a majority of pediatric general cases. Other cases may include the entire spectrum of pediatric and adult surgical cases such as general, ENT, ortho, neurosurgery, ophtho, dental, urology, GE, and OB. You will work with a team of over 60 Anesthesiologists, many with fellowship training in various specialties. The position offers opportunities for academic appointment through the University of Virginia and the chance to work with medical students and residents from UVA and Walter Reed. The role can be practiced in a solo or care team model with CRNAs.
Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited university medical school.
- Completed ACGME residency training and subsequent fellowship.
- ABA certification in Anesthesiology and Pediatric Anesthesiology.
- Current or eligibility for an unrestricted Virginia state medical license and DEA.
- Prior leadership experience.

Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care for a mixed practice of pediatric and adult cases, with a focus on pediatric general cases.

- Collaborate with a team of Anesthesiologists and CRNAs.
- Potentially engage in academic appointments and work with medical students and residents.
