About The Position
Nemours Children’s Health, Jacksonville is seeking a PRN Pediatric Anesthesiologist to work in partnership with Wolfson Children’s Hospital. The Department of Anesthesiology at Nemours Jacksonville serves one of the fastest growing areas in Florida. The current operating room and interventional capacity includes 10 inpatient OR's and 5 ambulatory OR's/GI endoscopy suites, one interventional radiology suites as well as a cardiac catheterization suite. In addition, anesthesia provides care in three MRI's and in the hematology/oncology clinic. Additionally, we are looking to expand into off campus ambulatory surgery centers to keep pace with our rapidly expanding case volumes. We are a free-standing institution serving a diverse pediatric population undergoing a wide range of procedures. Our staff provides anesthesia to approximately 15,000 children per year while managing their own cases with teaching responsibilities to anesthesia residents from Mayo Clinic and other anesthesiology residencies.
Requirements
- MD/DO degree
- Board certified in Anesthesia
- Board certified/Board eligible in Pediatric Anesthesia

Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care to approximately 15,000 children per year.
- Manage own cases.
- Fulfill teaching responsibilities to anesthesia residents from Mayo Clinic and other anesthesiology residencies.
- Provide anesthesia in inpatient ORs, ambulatory ORs/GI endoscopy suites, interventional radiology suites, cardiac catheterization suite, MRI suites, and hematology/oncology clinic.
- Participate in the expansion into off-campus ambulatory surgery centers.
