About The Position
PCS is seeking a Full-Time Peer Recovery Support Specialist for the Pearl Program in Rocky Mount. This program operates a women's recovery residence and supports pregnant and parenting women as they navigate recovery, ensuring appropriate pre-natal and post-partum care, as well as access to behavioral health services. Peer Recovery Support Specialists provide non-clinical peer-to-peer activities to empower individuals to improve health, recovery, resiliency, and wellness.
Requirements
- Lived experience with substance use challenges
- A minimum of one year of personal recovery on the application
- A valid driver's license and safe driving record
- Willing to consent to background checks, including checks for barrier crimes, and drug screening as part of the application process.
Nice To Haves
- Virginia Certification as Peer Recovery Support Specialist
- Doula training or willingness to complete doula training
- Caregiver experience
