About The Position

Wellington Regional Medical Center in Wellington, Florida, is hiring a full-time Patient Care Technician (CNA Certified) for Cardiac Telemetry. The position is scheduled for 36 hours per week on the night shift, with opportunities for overtime and to cover various shifts. The role performs patient-care activities and related services, including monitoring and interpreting cardiac telemetry rhythm strips, receptionist and secretarial duties, and patient-care tasks. The employee must be willing to cross-train and float to meet facility needs.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write, with working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Completion of a formal Certified Nursing Assistant training program and current state CNA certification; Florida CNA licensure is required for this role.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Good communication skills for relating to customers.
• Ability to perform EKGs.
• Computer skills, including order entry and ADT functions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry rhythm strips.
• Perform receptionist and secretarial duties in the patient-care area.
• Perform patient-care tasks and related customer-care activities.
• Cross-train and float as needed to meet facility needs.
• Perform EKGs.
