PRECISE CNC MACHINING INSTITUTE (PCMI) STUDENT
About The Position
The Precise C.N.C. Machining Institute (PCMI) is facilitated by Precise Tool & Manufacturing Inc., a family-owned, Rochester-based leader in advanced CNC machining and custom manufacturing. PCMI is a 4-month PAID training program designed to give you the skills you need to start your career in CNC machining. Upon successful completion of the program, students have the opportunity to continue their career with a job at Precise Tool & Manufacturing. PCMI combines classroom instruction with hands-on learning, giving students practical experience and the functional knowledge required to launch their careers in advanced manufacturing.
Requirements
- Enjoy working with their hands (e.g., taking equipment apart and putting back together, working on cars, doing carpentry or side jobs)
- Strong mathematical skills
- Mechanically inclined and curious about how things work
- Comfortable using computers and working with technology
- Demonstrate excellent attendance and dependability
- Have reliable transportation
- US Citizen, Permanent Resident or Green Card Holder
Nice To Haves
- High school tech classes and/or BOCES or vocational school classes are a plus
