About The Position

Corvid Technologies is seeking an experienced PCB Designer to join their team and support a variety of current and planned programs. The ideal candidate will have dedicated ECAD layout and library experience, with expertise across the complete PCB design cycle. This role involves managing complex multi-layer routing, driving end-to-end component creation, and lifecycle management. The engineer will collaborate with technical groups across the organization, working closely with electrical engineers to create/maintain schematics and coordinating with suppliers for DFM, DFA, and DFT reviews to improve yields and reduce production costs. The role also includes establishing component and library standards.

Requirements

US Citizen
Demonstrated experience with Altium Designer, including for ECAD layout and library tasking
Experience with impedance control and stack-up design
Knowledge of signal integrity (SI) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) best practices
CID (Certified Interconnect Designer) or CID+ certification is preferred

Nice To Haves

Altium CoDesigner preferred
Component lifecycle management experience preferred

Responsibilities

Perform multi-layer PCB routing on IPC Class 2 and Class 3 designs, including high-speed digital interfaces, sensitive analog signals, signal conditioning, power supply circuits, and fast high current dump loops in flex, rigid-flex, and rigid designs.
Prepare comprehensive fabrication and assembly packages (Gerber, ODB++, Drill files, Pick-and-Place, Fabrication, and Assembly drawings).
Integrate accurate STEP models for all components to ensure precise mechanical clearance checking.
Coordinate with Mechanical Engineers to ensure PCB-to-Enclosure fitment.
Develop and maintain schematic symbols and high-density PCB footprints (IPC-7351 compliant) within the Altium environment.
Work to establish component and library standards, including naming conventions and layer assignments.
